Prizewinning poetry fit for a King

To celebrate the recent and historic coronation of King Charles III, Year 7 took part in a national poetry writing competition. Called  A Kingdom Of Words – Writing fit for a King, it is run by the Young Writer’s organisation.

We are overjoyed that, out of the tens of thousands of entries, 17 Fearnhill students had their poetry selected to be published in an anthology. A copy will be sent to us at Fearnhill, one copy will be sent to The British Library archives, and a third will be sent to King Charles III himself!

We are all very proud that our King will read the work of Fearnhill students, and that our students are recognised to be gifted young poets who are some of the best in the country.

Congratulations to:

Alexis, Henry, Jake, Kai, Mason, Ross, Rudy, Aariya, Archie, Brayden, Charlie, Daniel, Holly, Lucy, Ollie, Orla and Samuel.      Mr Fox, English
