Fearnhill Thoughts
I chose to continue my learning at Fearnhill due to the close knit community that has been established here. It provides a more focused and specialized learning environment allowing other
students to dive deeper into the subjects they are passionate about.
Studying at Fearnhill has been great because smaller class sizes means I receive more support from my teachers and lessons feel more personal and can be easily tailored to the classes needs.
This time last year was the finals of our house music competition. Just like this year we saw some exceptional talent across all Key Stages. We can’t wait to possibly see some more of the musical talent that we have in our school! #music #musiccompetitions #Fearnhill
Our science club meet every Wednesday, they have been working hard recently seeing how different elements can affect flame colour when they’re lit using bunsen burners. #science #scienceclub #Fearnhill
On Thursday 8th October, our year 9 football team played a brilliant game against away against Thomas Alleyne. They came away with a win of 3 goals against Thomas Alleyene’s 2 goals. The whole team were phenomenal and put in a great shift for eachother. Rudy was awared Player of the Match. A massive well done to everyone that played! #football #welldone #Fearnhill
On Wednesday we had our first set of finalists for our house music competition where our KS3 students came to bravely perform in front of a hall of their peers. We were really impressed with the talent on display and so proud of every student that had the courage to perform! #fearnhill #music #musiccompetition
We would like to welcome prospective A-Level students to our Sixth Form open evening on Tuesday 3rd November. Students, and their families, will get the chance to meet our staff, explore our A-Level and BTEC courses, take part in subject taster sessions and explore our school and facilities. #Fearnhill #SixthForm #SixthFormOpenEvening
Year 7 students enjoyed a trip to the local Iron Age fort remains at Wilbury Hill Camp recently. We are incredibly lucky to have such interesting history almost exactly on our doorstep at Fearnhill. #history #Fearnhill #hillfort
The year 10 football team played a very exciting match agaonst St Chris on Wednesday 7th October. It was a comprehensive and dominating team performance to win 4-1. 2 goals in the first half by Jamil A and Dash J gave Fearnhill a strong foothold in the game. The game was then put out of St Chris reach where Fearnhill manufactured 2 more goals in the second half by Jacob B and the outstanding Dash J. St Chris managed a consolation goal late in the game but by then, Fearnhill were out of sight. Player of the Match was awarded to Dash for his incredible performance. A special mention is also given to Alfie C, however everyone certainly played their part. #football #welldone #Fearnhill
On Wednesday a number of our Year 10 students visited the Job Centre where they were able to learn about the jobs, roles, training and qualifications in the Civil Service. Thankyou for the team at the Job Centre in Letchworth for welcoming our students and helping to enrich their knowledge. #careers #jobcentre #fearnhill
