The Governors of Fearnhill School are delighted to announce the appointment of a new headteacher, following the news that the current head Liz Ellis plans to retire at the end of the summer.
Tim Spencer, our current deputy head, has been appointed to the role. He will take up his post in September.
Nye Hathway, chairman of the governing body, said: “After a rigorous and challenging interview process involving both internal and external applicants, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Tim Spencer as Headteacher of Fearnhill School.”
Ms Ellis said: “This is great news for the school as Tim will continue the process of improvement and development of Fearnhill, bringing his in-depth knowledge and experience to the role.”
Mr Spencer said: “I feel greatly honoured to have been appointed headteacher of such a brilliant school. I am looking forward to leading Fearnhill in the next exciting stage of its development.”
