A Level Success

Students at Fearnhill were celebrating today as the hard work of the last few years was reflected in a great set of exam results. The year group bounced back from the challenges of the pandemic, applying themselves and working with dedication and commitment to reach their goals and take the next steps.

Headteacher Liz Ellis said: ‘This year group have, like other young people across the country, had a particularly challenging journey to reach today. They did their GCSEs during the pandemic and had to develop independence and resilience during their A Level journey. They are a credit to themselves, their families and their communities. Their teachers are also delighted to see the fruits of their professional commitment and support over the years. This is certainly a day of celebration’.

There were many successes and smiles. Daniel is off to Warwick to study biochemistry, Lauren will read psychology at Exeter while Kieron has an engineering apprenticeship at MBDA. Other successes included Samantha studying psychology at UEA, Finley taking ancient history at London’s Royal Holloway and Kelis studying midwifery at De Montfort.

Tim Spencer, current deputy and headteacher from September, added: ‘We are so proud of all of our students. They have shown great character and determination and deserve the warmest congratulations’.
