Students support refugee charity
The work of a local refugee charity was highlighted to Fearnhill students this week in a series of year group assemblies.
Veronica Raymond, of Herts Welcomes Refugees, spoke to students about the charity’s work ahead of the school Culture Day on Friday.
Herts Welcomes Refugees has a network of over 150 volunteers who support refugees and people seeking asylum across Hertfordshire. They provide practical support to these new arrivals, helping them to connect with their communities and adjust to life in the UK.
Money raised during Fearnhill Culture Day will be donated to the charity.
