Title of Post:                                       Inclusion Support Assistant

Salary Grade and hours:               H3 27hrs a week term time + 5 INSET days £10,405-£11,019

Fixed term for 1 year initially, to be reviewed.

Start Date:                                          ASAP

Fearnhill School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed colleague to work alongside our Inclusion Team in a dedicated one to one role, to support a named student with specific SEN needs.  You will ensure that relevant and timely support is given to the student to address the individual’s barriers to learning. You will work as part of our very successful pastoral team, liaising with subject staff and parents where appropriate.

You will be able to:

  • Differentiate the curriculum to allow the student to access the full learning experience
  • Develop strategies to engage the student and share these with colleagues
  • Support the student’s social, emotional and behavioural development across the curriculum and in dedicated one to one time
  • Ensure the student’s safety

Fearnhill School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed colleague, to join our friendly hardworking Inclusion team as an Learning Support Assistant.  You will work within the maths, IT and business departments to support a wide range of students to achieve their academic potential.

The successful candidate for this post must have a good level of literacy and demonstrate an enthusiasm for working with students from a wide range of abilities.

Applicants need to have GCSE Grades A-C equivalent in English and Maths and be reasonably confident in the use of ICT. Appropriate training will be provided. This post offers an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to gain experience in a school, if he or she is considering a career in education, as well as for anyone with previous experience in the role.

Experience of working with children is desirable but not essential; applicants should have an enthusiasm for working with students form a wide range of abilities.

Title of Post:                                      Science Technician

Salary Grade and hours:               H4 10 hours per week term time only

                                                                £3,989 – £4,361 per annum

Fearnhill School is seeking to appoint a technician to work as part of our busy Science department supporting teaching staff.  You will be required to prepare equipment and experiments, clear away after lessons, wash up, safely store all equipment ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.
